Qatar National Plastic Factory W.L.L

Qatar National Plastic Factory (“QPlast”, www.qnplast.com) was founded by late Mohamed Bin Abdallah Al Attiyain 1977 and is, today, one of the largest manufacturers of uPVC Pipes and fittings in Qatar.

QPlast produces:

  • uPVC pipes (pressure, underground, waste) and ducts (20mm to 500mm diameter) and fittings;
  • HDPE tubes and ducts, all uses (15mm to 800mm);
  • Industrial and construction sheets and sleeves;
  • PE injection moulding for spacers and pegs;and
  • Warning tiles and tapes, for utilities and construction.

QPlast moved to its present new location in the New Industrial Area in 2013 and the factory buildings comprise a single-story purpose-built manufacturing area of 12,000 m2, with a separate storage facility of 9,200 m2 on 2 floors.  There is a third building housing the administrative and sales offices.

Since 2016, QPlast has begun an ambitious programme of investment and renewal to bring its operations to the highest standard.  This began with the purchase of some of the best test and quality control equipment in the world and is continuing with the receipt of German mixing and extrusion technology as well as an overhaul of its operations and processes.

In its commitment to a sustainable future for Qatar, the factory has phased out the manufacture of plastic bags (so damaging to the environment), and embraced fully the commitment never to use the heavy metal ‘lead’ (Pb) in its production (which is usually contained in pipes from Bahrain, KSA and UAE but banned in most developed countries). In addition, QPlast is investing in energy efficient production means.
